You have to look at it and think awhile how to use it to get the best out of it. this ring pull can opener works a treat once you know how.FirstUse the wedge end of the opener to lift the ring pull away from the body of the can to leave a gap.SecondThen use the lever end to indent inwards the tear offring pull lid top,ThirdThen turn the ring pull can opener around to the other side of the ring pull to be able to easily tug the indented lid top away from the body of the can. Sounds complicated but it isn't - do that procedure just as I have described it and it's a doddle to use.

Bought this 15 years ago for my mum as she had arthritis and had trouble opening ring-pull tins, It's still going strong and with the increase in the number of this sort of tin, it's even more useful now than it was when I bought it!

Get product and works well and saves my finger nails and fingers on these silly ring pulls. Only problem I had with ours is it is pink but I suppose I won't lose it in a hurry due to the colour.

I was given one of these ring pull can openers and was so impressed I bought one for a friend whois in her nineties and having difficulty opening cans. They really work and are ideal for an older person with arthritis or lack of dexterity.

I have rheumatoid arthritis. I find it harder to open a ring pull can than to use a can opener on a conventional can. (I hate ring pull cans. A "convenience" that is actually inconvenient). This item makes life a whole lot easier and less painful for me. I have now purchased 3 of these. For me (69), my mother (90) and my ex wife (67). Well designed. Simple but effective.

Disappointed to find that this device is made of thermal plastic and not metal and am wondering whether it will stand up to many of the "stubborn" ring pull cans on the market some of which fail when applying a "pull", leaving it almost impossible to open some of the cans available where an alternative normal tin-opener may or may not successfully remove most of the lid, especially on sardine tins with rounded ends. Although the illustration was in white, the actual item supplied is red and does not look as though it will last very long.
