Dungeons and Dragons RPG: Core Rulebook Gift Set Limited Alternate Covers

This set is absolutely flippin' amazing. Honestly, I expected a little less from this. In the dark, the light makes the foil light up with much more contrast than in the light. I had my players handbook out, and was setting up a campaign with my brother, I turn over to the side of me, and there is the face of a red glowing man with a skull on his head, and a bright orange beard, with bright orange eyes! Honestly, I've been addicted to looking at these with light behind them now.Anyways, apart from the beauty of the set, the DM board is pretty helpful. Has a section for Combat, combat statuses (paralyzed etc), Difficulty Checks, dice checks of various sorts, time frames, movement, it's quite helpful. The art side is very interesting, and while I hate dragons, I can intimidate my players without having to look at them. MuahahaThis set ended up being much more interesting to me than I thought, and I thought pretty highly of it. The contents of the books are the regular contents of the Players Handbook, Monster Manual, and Dungeon Master's Guide. This is not an issue though, this is exactly what I was looking for.The artist of the Covers, Hydro74 I think it is, also did the cover for Xanathar's Guide to Everything Deluxe, and Volo's Guide to Monsters Deluxe, as well as one more box art I think. Not quite sure what that was again, though I'm sure it's not too hard to find, the art is stunning, nearly everything is foil, not just the red, not just the blue, not just the purple. The Monster's manual has a sort of silvery tint in the light, but a blue tint in the dark. The Player's handbook has orange and red. The DM's Guide, Purple. Each of them have a sort of metal color foil as well, a silver or tarnished silver, or steel. It's very beautiful. On my box, on the bottom side, the foil was worn, other than that, the rest of the entire set was perfect, without any hiccups. No stuck pages, no oil, no glue, no warped pages, exactly what's in the picture.Another thing to note, in the binding of the books, there is a red bookend, it adds a tiny bit of flare to the book. If I could have added anything to these to make them better, it would be to gilt the pages. With red, blue, and purple. That would be insane. You can actually do this yourself, but please be weary of the type of paint, ink, or metal that you try to gilt the pages with.Hope your 2019 is well! I picked these up for $150 US and am VERY happy with my purchase. The books are of excellent quality and, lets be honest, just plain look amazing!!!! And at less than $50 a book plus the DM screen it's a steal. I will not be keeping these books on the shelf to collect dust, or flip them on EBAY in 6 months for a profit. I will be busting these out during D&D sessions and using them as I would my other books while DM'ing. If you get a chance to get these gems before the price goes up I highly recommend them, but their really just good looking source books, so paying OVER $50 each hardly seems worth it.

The team at Game Boarders are on their toes and busy as can be. The original ship date was delayed due to the publishers, but upon receipt Game Boarders immediately turned the orders around and got them out to us. Game Boarders was also nice enough to send a message to explain the situation and so as to keep us informed of said delay. Once in transit, I was able to keep tabs on when it would arrive.Now, the books. Although reprints of the current manuals, the new exterior metallic artwork is amazing. The books along with a DM's screen all of which have amazing two toned metallic artwork on them, come housed together in a similar metallic artwork covered sleeve. This is the kind of piece you either hide away from everyone, or, you bring it out and taunt the n00bs with. My son is absolutely itching to have another D&D session real soon.

The media could not be loaded. I don't know the DC fot this check, but I think I rolled a 20 as my copy is perfect!They feel great, they look great. In the inside they are the same great books, just a newer revision.The three covers are nice artworks, but Players Handbook is the greatest. In dim light it seems to shine in red, orange and gold. Magic item in the loot.Screen is also great. Certainlly the red printings are the mos impresive ones.

I am so happy with these books. They are in perfect condition. They also showed up a week earlier then originally expected. I love the feel of these books and they are so shiney because of the amazing metal foil paint. They are amazing and I love just looking at them. The art and paint job is oustanding. Well worth the price. I've been playing 5e for years and I finally decided to buy my own set of the core rules and I'm glad I waited.

Thought I rated this product awhile back, but I guess it didn't go through. I have had the set since May, and it has been amazing! I love the DM screen, and the books, and they have held up amazingly. Everything came as described, brand new and sealed!Update: Bought a second copy as a christmas gift for my boyfriend, came out perfectly as well with zero issues!

A friend of mine got these and had a few dings/scratches in the covers. Mine came in perfect condition however. So beware that not all of them are flawless. They look amazing nonetheless! The cover art is seriously amazing and makes you want to just have the books out on display. If you don't care about the collector edition/collector's item quality of these, then get the normal books as the insides are still the same as far as I could tell.

I had not owned the players handbook, monster manual, or dungeon masters guide in an actual book style, I used d&d beyond as my sourcebooks. When I saw this deal, I immediately thought I had to buy it, so I did. They books came right on time just as they said it would, I opened up to see perfection.The art on each book was beautiful, amazing metallic style. The dungeon masters screen is also the new and updated one, not the older version. the only cons I saw is the oil on your skin likes to stick to the dm screen, and there was a slight box cutter mark on the dungeon master guide. Other than that, it was well worth the purchase.If you're looking to get the D&D 5e source books, this is the purchase for you!
