Talk about BANG for your BUCK
For the price, these subs are badass! I put four of them in a custom built box in the trunk of a 1998 Mustang GT Convertible. They'll never reach the low frequencies like a larger diameter sub will, but these things will blast your ears out. I have the four of them being pushed at 1ohm by a Power Acoustik BAMF 2000.1D at roughly 1000-1100W RMS.Pros:* Price* VERY clean bass! Not muddy in the slightest* LOUD* Hard to get them to bottom out. Excursion is outstanding for their price.Cons:* Durability - The surround is foam and I suspect that over a relatively short length of time they will deteriorate. If you sneeze in their direction the wrong way, I feel like they will disintegrate.* No trim bezel* Ugly as sin - I'd recommend investing $1 is some spray paint to fix the hideous dust cap* You'll get the snooty people's stigma of having Lanzar subs. But to be honest, if this is the quality product Lanzar produce, they should be taken off the "flea market brand" list. Again, paint the dust cap :P

The pictures show 2 subs @ $33. It's only one FYI

Lanzar Max 8" , Very Decent!
First off, been in the car audio world for a number of years now. OWNED Mainstream company's equipment and underground equipment. I decided to try this after hearing a few good reviews from others and I'm very glad I did. $30 was a juggle I was willing to take and so I did, got the sub and built a 0.75 ft^3 box tuned to 35hz with 10"^2 of port and geeeeesh this little woofer swears it's a 12 or 15" lol. Right out the box on ~100w rms i had it on everything from slowes/chopped music up to pop, notes in the high 20hz's were pushed by this little woofer, even tho the fs is 42hz, it gets down! Moves quite a bit and the sound is smooth, i plan to add another and attempt a small sq install, sounds crazy from a $30 "LANZAR" woofer but from my experiences from other high priced equipment I've had, I'm confident in this woofer. Best thing Lanzar offers outside of the OPTI line they offer. If you're tempted, GET IT!!!

Blown
Have this sub hooked up to an amp that is only putting out 200W RMS. Bought this on March 15, 2023 and it blew by august of 2023. Customer service line for Lanzar doesn’t work. Sun sounded great while working, but unfortunately didn’t last long. Buyer beware

Very good sound for the price
OK, I bought on of these subs to put in a tube in my girlfriends car, I got the thing for $30 so my expectations were basically none existent(I have 2 Kicker CVR 10"s on a Fosgate 1500w amp). But went I hooked this thing up to a Visonik 350 watt amp I was impressed, it have a very clean bass and the hits were solid at moderate volume the sound quality was nearly as good as my Kickers(That cost like 4 times as much each).that probably is the best in its price range. No one thought it was one 8 in a tube.Conclusion- Im not gonna lie to you and say its a 5 star sub. But really I've heard several cheap subs, and you're NOT gonna get one until you step up and pay nearly $100 each or more. BUT, The Lanzar MAX8 has a very good quality sound that is probably the best in its price range. Most likely do to the quad layer voice coil. Great for wanting to round off a system if your on a budget. But dont be expecting to be rattling the guy beside you's windows with one of these. Buyers be aware that even thought this is a 4 layer VC sub, you wire it as a SVC sub.

Excellent for the price!!!
I bought this sub to go in my small .25 ish box in the footwell of my miata. Works great. As loud as a jblgto 8 but for half the price. The jbl blew in my setup after about 6 months and I ran a really terrible junk pyramid 8 for a stop gap for six months. I suspect my box is too small but that's the nature of the beast in a miata. It's stuffed to help but I can't help but wonder how much better this thing would sound in a car with enough room for a proper inclosure. It's been a few weeks and if this thing lasts I'll be happy with it.FYI the magnets are covered by a stupid plastic cover that can be removed if you're worried about mounting depth.

Cheap, but worth it
The Lanzar MAX8 came early and i was excited to try it. I unboxed it, had already built a sealed enclosure, and sealed it in to dry over night. I was playing about half volume if not less and it sounds good, very deep, hitting solid, keeping fast notes crisp. But after about an hour of playing at xmax, the cheap leads connecting to the sub were damaged. They go directly into the cone(beats me why they would have such a cheap design when everyone in the industry knows better) and vibrate extremely causing them to essentially break of from the coil. At that point the more power you gave it the more it would make popping and smacking noises from the leads. Its rated 250W RMS and it barely had 150 going through it. You take your chance with this sub but it did sound great while it lasted. I would recommend a ported enclosure for it so as not to put to much pressure on the motor assembly and reduce excursion.Currently a Kicker fan!!
