Heavy easy to assemble bench

I thought this looked a great sturdy bench. it arrived damaged and the vendor advised that I repair it myself. I reluctantly did as advised. I also note that within six weeks of assembly one of the seat lats has badly split. poor all round. I wouldn't buy again.

I order 2 benches - one had carriage damage to front detail. - Supplier organised replacement - so very happythis is a quality product at erasable price circa £450 - we will will not treat the wood ad as we wish for grey weather finish - P s the bench is comfortable for most people - Smaller people may wish to buy smaller alternatives.

Instructions were not good. Worth piloting the holes before inserting the dowels as they wont align. Mystery screws went in my tool box as they serve no purpose. Expanding gorilla glue used in every port. Painted with yacht varnish before assembling as there are parts you can't get to paint afterwards. Very sturdy.

The bench arrived in badly damaged packaging which on unwrapping showed a few dents in the wood but I decided to keep as too much hassle to return.The construction instructions are very poor line drawings with no written explanation. No explanation as to where six screws are meant to go. Half of the dowels were split on opening the package including them so I had to make my own.Now constructed the bench and it is sturdy and looks great now in pride of place .

I decided to pay a bit more than some advertised and i was not disappointed .The bench is really very high quality and put together in 5 mins. Looks amazing.

First item delivered seat and back joints misaligned. Picked up and replaced promptly. Second item faulty. The slat bench and side frame brace came unglued. Re-glued it. It's impossible to assemble in the way suggested by instructions. Need to assemble back, slat frame and front strip. Support and then add side frames with arms.
