As these are pure grass with no added sugar they are fine for a sulcata, I feed mine soaked and mix in a few fruit and flower tortoise pellets to make it more appealing

i bought them for carrington riding centre it went straight to them sorry i dont know whats in them

Q: How big are the pellets? Have you tried them as a supplement for chickens in winter?

They are about 1cm long and 3mm in circumference (I have not measured them but this is a guesstimate) so not big at all. I don't keep chickens so don't know the answer. This is just a grass supplement and not the only feed I give my pony and I assume chickens would be the same?

Q: Can anyone tell me how they use this with their ponies?

You can use them as they are or soak them to make a mash. If you want to soak them completely for a pony with poor teeth then I've found hot water is best to get them to mash up quickly.
