Great product, just buy it!
I’m a smaller woman and the baby carrier we had didn’t fit me, even on its smallest setting. After some research, I determined that wrapping would likely be my best option, but I was a bit daunted by the technique. That’s when I saw the K’Tan. The videos made it seem very easy to use and I so I ordered it. I’m happy to say it is a fantastic product and is as easy to use as the videos suggested! It’s extremely well made, my baby fits very snuggly and he loves it. Right now he’s having some pretty bad trapped gas issues that are causing some major (and long lasting) crying fits and nothing is really helping, as a final throw of the dice I wrapped him up in the hug position and he settled immediately and went to sleep.I’d suggest using the official calculator on their website to determine your size. It recommended XS for me and I was dubious about going that low, but it’s perfect. The baby is secure and I don’t feel like he’ll slip out or shift unexpectedly. The wrap itself is fairly comfortable but there’s not much in the way of back support, so I do find myself having to sit occasionally to take the weight off.Overall though, this is a great product!

Took some time to grow into, but worth it!
Let me just start by saying that I never review anything, but I love this carrier so much I had to share my experience. Even if it doesn't work for you at first, it doesn't hurt to hold onto it because as your baby grows you can use other positions that may work for you better.I read a lot of the reviews here on Amazon on many of the carriers and went with this one because I preferred something that I wouldn't have to wrap around my body 100 times. Also since it's summer now I thought the mesh would be perfect. I was right! The fabric is light so it's not overbearingly hot. (I haven't used it in the heat of summer yet, maybe the hottest temp was 80F.) It's soft and comfortable to wear. And it's very easy to put on, if you go to the website they have some videos that help make it a little more clear.I'm pretty petite, about 5'3" and 125 lbs after having my baby girl. So I went with the XS size. My little girl was born at 6lbs 7 oz, however I started using this when she was about 7.5 lbs. I was a little wary because she was under the 8 lb limit but I had to do something because she wanted to be held all the time. The Baby K'tan was a lifesaver. I could actually get stuff done. Only caveat was that since she was still small sometimes I kept having to adjust the back loop because I felt her head wasn't high enough on my chest, and she would slide down. She couldn't fall out but things just felt a little loose. This was while she was in the Newborn Kangaroo hold. I would sometimes need to use an arm as an extra support as well. But having only one arm free is still better than having none! The fabric would stretch out after a few uses, but I would just throw it in the wash and dryer as others have stated. There was about one week when I actually felt she fit perfectly in the kangaroo hold, and I didn't have to support her much, but she outgrew that and things got a little tight.Fast forward to my daughter at 8 weeks old. Haven't weighed her yet but she must be about 10 lbs. I started putting her in the Hug Position and it is so much better! I feel totally confident in leaving both of my arms free to do things. Like walking to the grocery store and coming home with both bags in both hands. As for the little one, she loves it. She could be screaming while I put her in, but once she is in there snuggled up close to my chest she calms down and usually goes to sleep in 5 minutes. She's taken 2 hour naps in this thing! I can't wait until she gets bigger and I can start trying some of the other positions.

I prefer the Solly wrap
I bought this in an XS (pre-pregnancy size 2, gained 35 lbs during pregnancy) and the Solly Wrap for myself, and the original Baby K’tan for my husband to compare. My husband kept his original K’tan because it works well enough for him, but I returned my Breeze and kept the Solly wrap instead. Here’s why:1- I found the Solly wrap much easier to use. Despite not needing to wrap the K’tan Breeze, it was harder to get baby in and out than it was with the Solly.2- Baby feels much more secure in the Solly wrap than the K’tan. The K’tan would either be too tight after I washed it or too stretched out. And no matter how tight it was, baby would jiggle around in the K’tan and I’d have to at least support his head, making it not truly hands-free (which is why I wanted a wrap).3- the material of the K’tan Breeze did not feel that breezy. We live in a climate with very long, dry, and hot summers, and baby and I would get much hotter and sweatier in the K’tan than we would in the Solly. The material of the Solly wrap is much more breathable. The material of my husband’s original is only doable during the cooler months or in our air conditioned house.4- the material of the K’tan Breeze is rough and stiff compared to the Solly wrap. The K’tan Breeze material reminds me of an old thick T-shirt. The original K’tan material is softer and stretchier but still not as soft and stretchy as the Solly wrap.5- If someone else wants to wear the baby to give you a break, you’re limited to friends and family who are the same size as you. The Solly wrap will fit anyone, and is just as easy to learn how to put on as the K’tan.6- I’ll combine these last few because they aren’t huge deals. The K’tan is a little bulkier and not as easy to stuff in a bag as the Solly wrap. It’s also 2 pieces while the Solly wrap is one. Lastly, I prefer the color options of the Solly wrap over the K’tan. In sum, the K’tan had the potential to be more convenient by not needing to be wrapped, but I didn’t find that to be the case. Hope that helps!
