Buy this album - IMH opinion, this is a must have for anybody who appreciates the true, original sound of analog and vinyl.

Classic album of cover songs. My first copy came with a badly damaged outside sleeve. Amazon quickly replaced and the next copy was in perfect condition. The vinyl sounds great on both copies I received. The first one had a very minor bow in the vinyl. The second is dead flat, though the label is just a bit off one one side. I’m now worried as I bought to listen to, not invest in. Packaged with anti-static inner sleeves, as all recent releases from the Dead world have.

Jerry went for a more straight-ahead blues/roots rock approach on this one. It is a very solid effort. There are maybe a few guitar solos that could have been Grateful Dead solos, but for the most part he's channeling BB King, Chuck Berry, Leon Russell (possibly) and even Django Reinhardt all the while with a very soulful singing voice. My new vinyl came with none of the issues often found in new vinyl and am just loving the sound today.

Great early Jerry

Pressed at QRP in Salena KS this 180 gram reissue sounds better to my ears than the original 70's press. Has better bass weight and presence throughout recording.
