Q: Will this fit the FP3020?

Yes, it fits the FP3020's included blade holder. I ordered mine over the holidays and shipping was not quick.

Q: i already have the a blade - is this the b slicing blade?

It looks like it. The original blades have the letter stamped on them. This photo is not clear enough to see what letter is there. The a is a much finer slicing/cutting blade and c, d, & e are not cutting blades, they are shredding blades.

Q: How thick does this slice veggies?

Make sure you buy BOTH blades. The one that comes with the unit is too thick. The thin one does scalloped potatoes perfectly. Also, I suggest you get the French Fry cutter. Great tool for perfect fries.

Q: in some ads a kugel blade is mentioned, is this that blade?

From what I just googled, kugel is some sort of potato dish with grated potato. So I would say that the kugel blade is the coarse grate blade, the picture you show is the slice blade.
