make sure it works with your psu
I just plugged it in and it fried the cable between my fan hub and the motherboard. I do not know yet if it did more damage to the motherboard and it was 100% my fault for not checking compatability and even reading reviews. Thankfully I chose it for the fans and not my 2 hhds and the ssd.

Works great for my Focus Plus 550W.
Having used all of my modular SATA cables for a self-built NAS full of hard drives, I needed to buy another to add a HDD for local scratch space on a video encoding box. This cable seems really sturdy, just as good as the OEM cables as far as I can tell, and it works without a hitch in the Seasonic Focus Plus 550 I'm using there. It's way more cost effective than buying a whole new set too, so I will buy more of these if I need to add more drives in the future.

FIRE HAZARD!!
Usually I would contact the seller before leaving a bad review. I'm so beyond furious right now that I'm going straight to the review. I just got these cables an hour ago. I needed them to run the RGB light control for 4 120mm fans. Mind you these are top of the line Corsair fans that have been fully operational for months. 10min after connecting the controller I smelled a slight burning then saw smoke. I quickly unplugged my pc and started unplugging wires. This cable has completely melted and caused other wiring to melt. I'm now sorting through my components and making sure that nothing was damaged. I'm running a very expensive 3060gpu, motherboard and cpu. Along with all the other components. I pray that these cheap wires didn't do thousands in damage to my custom build gaming pc.

Works on my Reddragon 850 watt PSU
I needed an extra SATA power cable (only two came with my PSU) I checked the pinouts and as near as I could tell they matched this cable. Got it. Plugged it in. No smoke. All drives work. 100% pleased! Now I know what cable to buy for my PSUs.

Just what I needed, works perfectly
I bought a modular Antec/Seasonic PSU and it should have come with this cable, but it did not. And I needed it. I ordered this, it had a good price and Amazon fulfillment. Came right away., fit perfectly, and did what I needed it to do. The current expression is "just what the doctor ordered". Cable plugs into the modular PSU and allows to power up to 3 more SATA drive units, and it is so well designed that it will power drives that are not next to each other, making this more handy that the ones that came with the PSU.

may not work with you PSU
Be careful. Different manufacturers use different pin layouts.

Legit cables
Ignore reviews that had their cables melt. Every picture that shows melted pins is where the 5v lead is for this cable set. Those people obviously hooked it up to an incompatible power supply that used that wire slot for the 12v lead.I bought 4 of these(2x sata and 2x molex) and the pinouts are accurate. If you aren't sure if your psu is compatible, compare them to your stock cables or lookup the pinout of your psu on the manufacturers website.
