Using this to store network gear that isn't rack mountable in a 19" rack.Compared to alternative products, this one extends far enough into the rack (depth) to store a number of devices.Beware of other shelves that are designed to hold a very shallow device.

It's a shelf. A very sturdy shelf at that. Love that it came with the rack rail screws! Great quality for the price.

We exchanged this twice and both were damaged and dented even though they were double boxed. Dented and twisted ears and bowed in the middle. Dont risk your equipment on metal that can’t even withstand the trip to your place

This is a very flimsy shelf. I bought it to hold a receiver in a rack, and the weight of the receiver started behind the shelf. It was good and tightly screwed in, just the metal bent. I was able to bend it back level, but I would not trust it with anything substantial from a weight standpoint.

Solid strong product. As expected. No concerns. Quick delivery.

Good rack for the price

Shelf seems well made, it's sturdy and the finish is nice, but the lip on the front and rear of the rack bend down and go into the next rack U space. I had to send it back because this interferes with other equipment in the rack. The photos showed the lip bent the opposite direction which is why I went with this rack in the first place.

Like another reviewer said the "The bottom lip extends down into the next space" effectively taking up 2U of space. I've installed dozens of these type shelfs before and never seen one like this. If you want to install it into the bottom of the rack or you want to waste a 1U space go for it. But I would not recommend this.
